We have a fully equipped car accident repair centre and body shop which is Hyundai approved. Our body shop is also insurance approved.
Remember it is your vehicle and you can choose who repairs it. Many insurers have networks of their ‘’approved’’ repairers, they may try and convince you to have your car repaired where they choose, this is for their convenience not yours. Don’t be unduly influenced by insurers suggestions of delays and extra costs if you don’t do what they say. You are entitled to choose the repairer of your choice.
Don’t be bullied. The association of British insurers and the Office of Fair Trading agree that the choice is yours. There are very few exceptions to this rule. So, for an example, should you have just spent all your lovely hard-earned money on a brand-new car, and want to use the manufacturers bodyshop? then your insurance company cannot deny you that right.
It also puts you in the driving seat, as using the insurer’s repairer, they may well use non genuine parts on your vehicle. Using your own repairer, you can insist on them.
They may then ask for a couple of estimates, you do not need to do this! if you are happy with your choice of repairer, stick with it.
Unless there is a specific clause in your insurance policy that states you must use one of their recommended repair shops you are free to go wherever you prefer. Most insurance policies do not have this clause. If your policy doesn’t include this clause you are protected by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Insurance Act 2015. It’s up to your insurance company to prove it has this clause. Don’t get pushed around by your insurance company. Know your rights and stick to them!!!
